Ontworpen voor warme dagen. The Sicilian is ons nieuwe voorstel als jouw metgezel deze zomer – van kantoor tot kust. Het ideale zomershirt. Geweven in 100 % EU-gecertificeerd linnen – geteeld in Nederland, België en Frankrijk. De stof is extreem luchtig en ademend met een gewicht van 125 g/m². Je voelt het meteen: de stof voelt koel aan op de huid en wordt alleen maar beter naarmate het warmer wordt. Ja, linnen kreukt. Maar dat is juist de bedoeling. Linnen heeft een karakter dat helemaal eigen is – en naar onze mening een eigen charme. The Sicilian is voor de dagen waarop het niet uitmaakt dat het leven een beetje kreukt. Het ontwerp is gebaseerd op onze klassieke silhouetten, maar met extra bewegingsvrijheid in de rug dankzij een subtiele box-plooi. Het shirt is gesneden met een extreem cutaway-kraag, wat een meer ontspannen uitstraling geeft – zonder afbreuk te doen aan de scherpe look die kenmerkend is voor BARONS-shirts. The extreme cutaway collar is for those who want a modern, sharp look. Sewn-in collar stays and German interlining ensure that the collar retains its shape wash after wash. In this version, we use a lightweight interlining, which creates a more casual look and complements the fabric.

Casual cuff
The casual cuff has two buttons, allowing you to easily adjust the fit at the wrist. Please note that the cuff’s width is 1.5 cm narrower than the cuff on our business shirts.
Linen created by the North Sea climate
Our new 100% linen textile is made from EU-certified flax, grown in the region between Amsterdam, Belgium, and Normandy in northern France, where fertile soil and the North Sea’s changing climate create optimal conditions for the flax plant—the foundation of linen.
Unlike, for example, conventional cotton, flax is cultivated entirely without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides and is therefore considered one of the textiles with the lowest climate footprint available.

Net als met onze andere producten streven we naar het zuiverste mogelijke product. In onze wereld is het namelijk een luxe om je te omhullen met de beste grondstoffen uit de natuur in plaats van plastic.
Daarom doen we er alles aan om geen niet-afbreekbare plasticvezels zoals elastaan, lycra, spandex, polyester enz. aan onze textiel toe te voegen. Daarmee dragen we niet bij aan het probleem van microplastics.
We kiezen het natuurlijke alternatief, omdat het zowel het prettigst aanvoelt op de huid als in de buik.
