Generation 4 represents a radically different structure of our supply chain. Unlike Generation 3, which was built on conventional cotton.
Generation 4 is based exclusively on some of the rarest and most exclusive cotton in the world - 100% organic extra-long-staple Giza cotton. Cotton that represents less than 0.1% of the cotton market.
Yes. Our new Generation 4 shirts are made of 100% organic cotton.
The majority of our cotton is cultivated in the lush Nile, Delta, in northern Egypt and is of the Giza-cotton type. Giza-cotton is known for its extra-long cotton fibers, as well as other technical benefits.
For a transitional period, parts of our organic cotton will originate from North America and be of the SUPIMA type.
All of our shirts are made of 100% organic cotton.
Some of our cotton will in a transitional period come from Northamerica, primarily California.
With our Generation 4, we have brought down our CO2 footprint by almost 50%. Something that we are incredibly proud of.
We have reduced the transport distance by more than 2/3. But the majority of the CO2 savings are found by the fact that we now use organic cotton, which emits significantly less cotton per. kg.
You can read more about it here.
Compared to conventional cotton, organic cotton cultivation emits up to 94% less greenhouse gases than conventional production (Source).
Organic GOTS-certified cotton is grown together with crops that, in addition to the sale of the cotton, can feed the farmers, and there are requirements to change crops frequently so that the soil is not depleted.
Pesticides are of course banned in the farming process, which is good for both the environment and the health of the farmers.
This is really good news for you as an end-user, in view of the above issues. The organic Giza cotton that we at BARONS use is GOTS-certified. This means that there are strict requirements for both farming, working conditions, and processing of the cotton.
GOTS (The Global Organic Textile Standard) is a standard for organic fibers. It is known and recognized all over the world.
The brand gives your product a credible guarantee of environmental and socially responsible production throughout the supply chain.
Yes, our cardboard boxes are made of 100% recycled cardboard/paper.
At the same time, we have made them lighter in weight, which ensures significant CO2 and resource reduction.

Because synthetic fibers ultimately mean microplastics and unfortunately in a too high degree end up in the nature.
Synthetic fibers include oil-based fibers such as polyester, nylon, spandex, lycra, etc. Typically, the production of these fibers consumes a lot of energy.
All textiles used repeatedly will eventually wear out and lose some of their mass. This means that parts of the fabric end up as microplastics in the environment, either from washing or from contact with various surfaces. We generally do not like microplastics in the nature - that's why we choose the natural alternative, even though it is a bit more difficult and costly.
Yes, we offer a student discount. The discount is a 15% discount and is valid by showing a valid student card.
You can simply attach a picture of it and send it to our email: email@example.com - then we will return with a discount code, which you can use on our webshop.
Unfortunately, we do not offer shirts for women at the moment.
Alternatively, you can try our super slim fit, which can easily be suitable for women and which is popular among many other women.
Unlike most of our competitors, we produce our fabric from scratch, so it is based on our own specifications, which is why we can safely say that it is not classic piece goods. The fabric is created from the best cotton available; namely Extra Long Staple Egyptian GIZA cotton.
The fabric is Oeko-tex 100-certified by the Danish Technological Institute, which means, tested free of chemical and environmentally harmful chemicals. The production also lives up to the SteP standards.
